Impact Mission Relief’s leadership firmly believes the social and economic development in the DRC is inherent to the quality of the education. Impact Mission Relief’s Education Program advocates for equal educational system without any form of discrimination, such as gender, race, or religion. To achieve this noble cause, Impact Mission Relief proposes working with public and private institutions, international organizations, and local communities to promote and encourage minority, marginalized groups, and other vulnerable communities to participate in their education.
After a decade of war and 32 years of dictatorship and two decades of civil war that destroyed medical infrastructures, Impact Mission Relief is working to strengthen the health system in rural communities, focusing on the most urgent needs in poor communities—particularly mothers, children and youth. IMR’s Health Programs are designed to give these groups better access to quality primary health care. They are also aimed at building the management skills of decision makers in the health sector to make the system more effective. IMR is also seeking to build the capacities of local communities to help the tens of thousands of women and girls who are survivors of sexual violence in the eastern provinces of the DRC and to help combat such crimes, particularly by confronting the impunity of the perpetrators.

Agriculture and Food Security.
Achieving food security is one of significant challenges and highly critical to alleviating poverty in the Democratic Republic of Congo. People’s ability to work and achieve social and economic stability is compromised by not having access to food. Most vulnerable and marginalized people such as women, children, and disables are the most susceptible to the effects of food insecurity. Impact Mission Relief’s Agriculture and Food Security program aims to work with local communities, government, and non-government institutions to help increase agriculture productivity, connects farmers to markets; strengthen the technical capacity of the institutions for planning and developing appropriate agricultural policies; and improves farm rural livelihoods.
